Bulk bottled water for hotels and offices in Uganda

A hotel or an office that buys water from several informal suppliers spends more time reconciling deliveries than pouring water. A single packaged-drinking-water supplier can cover guest rooms, the restaurant, the boardroom, and the staff dispenser. Earth Packaged Drinking Water, a brand of Lagenda Limited in Kansanga, publishes the retail reference prices and quotes wholesale once the volume is known.

The 500ml carton holds 24 bottles in 12 packs and costs UGX 10,000. That is the pack for conference tables, gym desks, and room amenities when a small sealed bottle is what the guest expects. The 1.5L box holds 6 bottles and also costs UGX 10,000. Kitchens and family restaurants use it because one bottle serves a table. Both are reverse-osmosis purified packaged drinking water. Neither is mineral water.

Staff areas and back-of-house points are usually cheaper on a dispenser. A new 20L bottle is UGX 25,000 and you keep the bottle. Every refill after that is UGX 7,000 against an empty bottle. A property that needs ten jugs in rotation buys ten new bottles once, then reorders refills at UGX 7,000.

Sites without a dispenser can lease or buy one. The dispenser page describes sale and lease in Kampala. The monthly or outright figure is quoted, because it depends on the unit. The water on that unit is still the UGX 7,000 refill. A bottle organizer keeps full and empty jugs off the floor in a store room or beside the dispenser. That item is also quoted, not given a guessed price.

1L bottles are packed for buyers who want a size between 500ml and 1.5L, including some retail shelves. There is no carton price on the public list yet. Ask for the 1L quote with the quantity. Do not assume it matches the UGX 10,000 carton of another size.

Put the delivery area in the first message. Kampala core routes, including Kansanga, are the regular run. Wakiso, Mukono, and Entebbe are delivered on request. A lodge on the Entebbe road should say Entebbe, the landmark, and the receiving hours. Delivery is Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 18:00. The fee depends on distance and how many cartons or jugs are on the drop. It is stated before dispatch.

Procurement files usually ask for a specification and a certificate. The Quality page lists the treatment steps. Total coliforms, E. coli, pH, total dissolved solids and turbidity are tested monthly at the Kansanga laboratory, and some samples go to the UNBS laboratory. The certification decision is dated 18 August 2026, and the permit is valid from 19 August 2026 to 19 August 2027.

An approved account can be invoiced. Everyone else pays on delivery or by MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Merchant to a number confirmed from +256 701 682 866. Email for a written quote is lagendalimited1@gmail.com. Include the company name, the delivery address, the sizes, and the weekly or monthly quantity so the wholesale rate is not a guess.

A sample monthly picture for a small hotel: 20 cartons of 500ml (UGX 200,000 at the published carton price), 10 boxes of 1.5L (UGX 100,000), and 30 refills of 20L (UGX 210,000) if the empties come back. That is UGX 510,000 in product before any wholesale adjustment and before delivery. The first month is higher if the 20L bottles are new, at UGX 25,000 each instead of UGX 7,000. Ask sales to restate the wholesale line if the volume earns it.

Receiving is simpler if one person checks the batch codes and the count against the quote. Keep empties capped and together for the next exchange. That is the whole 20L system: you buy the bottle once, and the refill stays at UGX 7,000. For the rooms, the carton price stays the reference until a wholesale schedule replaces it in writing.
